Kahlo recalled that in her life she had two great tragedies. One was the horrific trolley accident in her youth that doomed her to a lifetime of pain and suffering. The other, she said, was Diego; the husband who tormented her with his multiple infidelities. “Diego,” she said, “was by far the worst.”    [i]
